Coats and Gloves For Youngsters Sought by Rim Mountain Community Project
New or gently used coats, gloves and mittens are being collected by the Rim Mountain Community Project for distribution to area youngsters this winter season.
Collection boxes are located at various locations from Crestline to Running Springs to accept items through the second week of December.
The Mountain Community Project — consisting of Hearts & Lives, Crest Forest Family Food Bank, Crest Forest Senior Citizens Center, Crestline Chamber of Commerce, San Bernardino County Department of Children's Services, and Mountains Community Hospital — is striving to make warm winter coats and gloves available to young people this winter.
The items will be collected weekly from each location, washed and categorized for distribution starting about mid-December.

Noëlle Tinturin performs at St. Richard’s Episcopal Church DECEMBER 13th ~ 2:00 pm
The holidays always bring some very special events and programs for the community to enjoy, and this year, St. Richard’s Episcopal Church will present a piano recital by Noëlle Compinsky Tinturin as part of their Advent Lessons and Carols service on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00pm. The service will include biblical readings, Advent hymns, and prayers, and a 40-minute recital by Tinturin. This is an opportunity to relax and refresh your spirit in this busy time, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas.
Noëlle Compinsky Tinturin has performed as soloist, accompanist, in orchestras, and as a chamber music artist extensively throughout North America and Europe. Born and educated in Los Angeles, she studied piano with members of the internationally renowned Compinsky Trio. She has been teaching piano since 1969, and has lived and worked in Lake Arrowhead since 1993. For this program, Noëlle will perform music by Bach, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Debussy, Grieg, and more. Following the service and concert, the church will host their beautiful, annual “Silver Tea” – a traditional “high tea.” Admission to the service and concert is free. Admission to the tea is $5 per person.
